RoboBOT

Games & Etc.

Everyone loves games, and most everyone loves computer games! So try mine. They were all made using Mark Overmars' Game Maker program. All files are zipped EXE files. No installation required, just download, unzip, and play.
NOTE: If you attempted to download some of these files before and found that they didn't work on your computer, then please try again. I forgot to update them for Vista compatability.

Games

Freeze: Elo and Ferno
Freeze is a simple game where you must tag the fire demons to freeze them, while avoiding stepping on buildings and getting hit by fireballs. Made for the GM Race Competition. Available on Yoyogames!

Breakanoid
Breakanoid is a breakout game with original graphics and sound. It features a more realistic paddle-bouncing system than most breakout games. Moving the paddle to the left while the ball hits it will make the ball move more toward the left. This makes it much more a game of skill. Enjoy this classic game!

EEL
EEL is a game made with one script, one room, no sprites, and no backgrounds. Everything is drawn manually. I didn't really make this game for entertainment value, but more to prove to myself my coding abilities, but it still might be entertaining to play. It's based on the classic FX Cave game on the internet: click and hold to accelerate the eel up, let go to fall down.

Useful Programs

Note that none of these programs will alter your system registry or require installation (They are once again zipped EXEs).

Calendar 1.1
Having a calendar right on your desktop is very convenient, and it's even more convenient when you can write notes on a calendar. This program does that and more. However, a small bug in the program causes the saved information to not load after the day it was saved. The bug can't be fixed because I no longer have the editable, but no worries, I'm rewriting the whole program. Look for Calendar 2.0 here in the future!

Bifid Cipher Program
This program encrypts and decrypts text using the Bifid Cipher, a pencil-and-paper cipher created in 1901. This program isn't meant to be used to secure information, it's more for entertainment (and learning about a cool cipher!).

Things to Come...Maybe

Puzzle Game
As of now, it is untitled. It's for the next Yoyogames competition, which has the theme "co-operation" (the dash is important!). It's a puzzle game, that's all I'm saying right now. The engine is at least three quarters done, and I have three puzzles designed already. Sprites will be started when the competition is officially announced (in case of needed theme changes).

Untitled RPG
Forget it. It's not happening.

Danelaw
For the Yoyogames Ancient Civilizations/Civilisations Competition, I am making a Viking themed nonlinear platformer. Raid the villages and towns of England to establish the Danelaw!
Initially I was pumped for finishing this, but now I realize that I won't be able to finish before the due date. Eventually, I'll get back to this project.

Word Search
This program creates a word search from the words that you type in, or from a predefined list. Included is over 30 word lists. Then you can do the puzzle on the computer. Use the Hint button when you're stuck, or press Reveal when you want to know the answers!
This program will be available as soon as I iron out the problems with printing (If anyone has experience with the standard GM Printing extension, PM RoboBOT on the GMC).

Calendar 2.0
A rewrite and improvement of my first calendar program. You can expect it to be bigger and better--and it will work properly.
This is a lower priority project, but I will finish it eventually (get off my case already!).
